Do your products contain nuts?
Our products are made in a facility that handles tree nut–derived ingredients, including shea butter. While our son, who has a tree nut allergy, personally uses our products without issue, we cannot guarantee that our products are completely nut-free. If you have a known allergy, we recommend using caution. Jacques Cosmetics is not liable for any allergic reactions.
What ingredients are in your body butters?
Our body butters are intentionally formulated with organic, unrefined shea butter and olive oil to deeply nourish and support the skin. Scented variations also include high-quality fragrance oils. Unscented options do not include fragrance oils.
What ingredients are in your body bars?
Our body bars are intentionally formulated with organic, coconut oil, olive oil, distilled water, sodium hydroxide (lye), fragrance oil, and sodium lactate. Scented variations also include high-quality fragrance oils. Unscented options do not include fragrance oils.
What ingredients are in your body cremes?
Our body cremes are intentionally formulated with organic, refined shea butter, olive oil, distilled water, BTMS-50, germaben II, & fragrance oil. Scented variations also include high-quality fragrance oils. Unscented options do not include fragrance oils.
What ingredients are in your body wash?
Our body washed are intentionally formulated with olive oil, coconut oil, potassium hydroxide, distilled water, germaben II, & fragrance oil. Scented variations also include high-quality fragrance oils. Unscented options do not include fragrance oils.
How long do the body butters last?
Because our body butters are made without added preservatives, they have a shelf life of up to one year when stored properly. Each application delivers long-lasting moisture throughout the day. Due to frequent hand washing, reapplication may be needed to maintain hydration.
How long do the body cremes last?
Our lotions have an added preservative, Germaben II. They have a shelf life of up to one year when stored properly. Each application delivers long-lasting moisture throughout the day. Due to frequent hand washing, reapplication may be needed to maintain hydration.
How long will my order take to ship?
Processing time refers to the time required to prepare your order and typically takes 3–5 business days. Shipping time is separate and generally takes an additional 3–5 business days for delivery. Please note that many orders are processed sooner, with some shipping as early as the same day.
Can I update my shipping address after checkout?
If you notice an error in your shipping address, please contact us as soon as possible. While we will make every effort to update your information, we cannot guarantee changes once your order has entered processing. We strongly recommend reviewing your address carefully at checkout. If a package is shipped to an incorrect address, you may need to contact USPS directly to request an intercept.
What if my body butter melts during transit?
Due to temperature changes during shipping, body butter may soften or melt. If this occurs, allow the product to return to room temperature in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For a whipped texture, you may scoop and re-whip the butter using a hand mixer.
Why do you choose minimal ingredients?
We intentionally formulate our products with minimal ingredients to preserve the integrity and effectiveness of each component. We believe that healthy, radiant skin can be achieved without unnecessary additives - especially synthetic ingredients that may do more harm than good. Our approach focuses on simplicity, allowing high-quality ingredients to work in harmony to nourish and support your skin.
Will you ship your butters during the hot months?
During warmer months we will be moving away from body butters. Some orders will continue to process and ship during those times so please adhere to the following.
I still want to buy your butters during the hot season, will it melt?
During the warmer season, we will ship body butters, and other items that can melt easily, through USPS priority mail. Shipping times may vary from 1-3 days depending on where you're located in the US. Those packages will come with an ice pack to keep your items cool in transit.
